A Page from the Heart
I knew what I was getting into. I’d made a commitment, promised to be there regularly – at least in my mind anyway. But I just didn’t do it. That’s right, I haven’t posted a blog entry in months. And for that I apologize to my readers with this new “page” from my heart.
So let me tell you what I have been doing, in no particular order:
- Still trying to eat healthier. Notice I said “trying.”
- Hoping to avoid colds, flu, illnesses of any kind. I’m about 70/30 with that.
- Speaking up, speaking out, being silent and asking for forgiveness where I can. So forgive me please for not writing more.
- Planning and attending birthday parties, graduations, conferences and embarking on short mindless trips to the shoe store.
- Working, working, working my day job, if only to pay the bills, enhance the well-being of the people I serve, and did I say and have “healthier food” to eat?
- Reading my Bible and talking to my Heavenly Father about most everything…hmm that “most” word doesn’t quite feel right.
- Daydreaming
- Worrying
- Sleeping
- And every “ing” not included in 1 -9 above.
As I said before, I knew what I was getting into when I decided to write a blog. But still, months passed without anything new. There is no excuse, nor anyone to blame except me. Yet, as the late Poet/Author Maya Angelou would say “still I rise.” And for this I thank God for His everlasting love, grace and mercy.
Now that’s something to write about!
“Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart. So shall thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.” Proverbs 3:3. KJV
